As well as a lively collection of Japanese music, performances and workshops there will be a profusion of shitamachi-style stalls selling all sorts of Japanese street food and goods. 30th June-1st July 2012 Brighton Asahi Anime Festival Bartholomew Square, Brighton The UK’s only open-air anime festival – a delirious and colourful celebration of all things cool and kawaii, with cosplay contests, manga drawing and karaoke competitions galore. 6th-8th July 2012 London Film & Comic Con Olympia Grand Hall, London Celebrating the best of film, television and Japanese cosplay.
