Recently, I got to hang out with a friend of mine after a long time of not seeing each other! We had brunch and talked, and I decided to take her on a little tour of some of my favourite spots, so we could soak up the sun and let the shops soak up our money :D I’ll let you in on my favourites, and who knows, maybe you’ll add some of these spots to your own London itinerary!
We started off the day with a trip to WA cafe in Covent Garden. WA cafe is a Japanese patisserie serving delicious desserts and drinks! I’m not a very experienced matcha drinker, so I decided that this was good place to start. Me and my friend both got iced matcha lattes, and picked a strawberry shortcake slice and sakura roll cake slice to share! It was a delight to be eating such pretty food, and aesthetically, the pink of the cakes and green of the matcha went together so well!! For one of my first times drinking matcha, it was delicious, just sweet enough whilst keeping true to the iconic matcha flavour. The strawberry cake was sweet and light, and the sakura roll was slightly savoury - I guess that’s what petals taste like!

Then we had a stroll around Covent Garden, popping into Mac and the Moomin shop, before stopping off at ARTBOX! Check out my previous post introducing our wonderful treasure trove and have a look at some of the goods we have in store from the lovely Tofu Cute team! We grabbed a couple snacks from the Tofu Cute concession stand for later, and continued our journey. |

Just a couple minutes down from ARTBOX and next to Leicester Square station was our next stop: Reiwatakiya! It’s a Japanese skincare and makeup shop, which I had to visit as I have never seen one in London before! It’s brimming with serums and famous cleansers, totally a must visit if you’re a skincare enthusiast. They also stock canmake goods, and items such as blushes and eyelash curlers. I myself picked up an eyelash curler, to test out the theory that Asian mascaras and eyelash curlers supposedly help stubborn lashes curl and last longer! Keep an eye out for any future posts by me; you might see a review or two in the future~ |

The next stop was Pureseoul, a Korean skincare and makeup shop just seconds away from Reiwatakiya! This gorgeous shop has all the viral K-beauty products stocked up, and I couldn’t resist swatching all the lip tints and pondering over gels, masks and essences: I could go on for forever! I settled on the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Clay Pore Mask and skipped out of the store happily…only for it to be raining. There’s no escaping the clouds in London, bring an umbrella and don’t get soaked like we did! |
 |
Our penultimate stop was the long-awaited Miffy pop up shop a couple minutes away from Pureseoul. The little store was full of the cutest Miffy items, from plushes to keychains to badges! They had some Chinatown exclusive merch, such as tote bags and notebooks, all printed with a lovely design featuring the iconic Chinatown red gate. I’m sure you’ve seen the rainbow Miffy wall, which I loved seeing in person. I got the cutest memo pad (to add to my ever growing collection) and a Miffy pin, which I’ve nestled in between my other pins on my ARTBOX apron!
What’s your favourite colour on Miffy? It’s hard to deviate from white for me, as the classic design just looks perfect in my opinion! But, if I had to choose, the navy and fluffy yellow ones would be my pick. Don’t worry if you missed the store though, as Tofu Cute has some adorable Miffy merchandise you can still get your hands on! |
 |
We ended our day by chatting in Leicester Square and having some of the snacks from Tofu Cute. It was so lovely sharing them with my friend; she loved the “Calbee Vegetaberu Light Salad Vegetable Chips,” which we had over some delicious white grape ramune. All of these spots are very close to each other, so it’s a perfect route that links up some of my favourite places at the moment! Make sure to stay hydrated and SPF-up if you’re exploring London this summer! |
