Whether you're new to Boba or looking for a recommendation - don't miss this!
Tea has been enjoyed across the world for centuries, but since the 1980’s a fun and tasty variant has become a beverage phenomenon; Bubble Tea.

Bubble Tea or ‘Boba Tea’ originated in Taiwan and although there are many variations, it’s usually a combination of tea, milk and chewy Tapioca balls, fruit pearls or even pudding. There is a common misconception that the Tapioca balls give Bubble Tea it's name, but in fact it gets it's name from the frothy bubbles that form on top of the tea when it’s shaken! The amount of flavours to choose from is staggering, and as well as milk teas, there are also an endless amount of fruit tea flavours if milk based drinks aren’t your thing.

Here at Tofu Cute HQ we are big fans of Bubble Tea, and my day is infinitely improved when someone in the Tofu Cute warehouse suggests we order Bubble Tea. Many a hot Taro Milk Tea gets me through the chilly winter months, and you can’t beat a cold milk tea for cooling down in the heat of summer. Some of the staff favourites are Brown Sugar, Matcha, Taro, Watermelon and Peach & Mango.

As well as a restock of our popular Ocean Bomb Bubble Tea Cans we have a new Bubble Tea range on the Tofu Cute website this month from Taiwan; Madam Hong’s ‘Lady Boba’ in four delicious flavours all containing mini chewy tapioca balls that bubble tea is so famous for.
Madam Hong Lady Boba Bubble Tea - Original

The OG Bubble tea flavour. A mellow Black Tea blend with milk, and a smooth malty flavour that reminds me of a breakfast tea but much more of a sweet treat. The perfect pick-me-up and a bubble tea for any occasion - especially a study session or lunch break!
Madam Hong Lady Boba Bubble Tea - Matcha Latte

Matcha: The green one. A deliciously sweet green tea latte. The classic umami Matcha notes are there, and the sweetness of the Milk Tea means that the Matcha flavour is less bitter than some other Matcha products. It's a great choice for seasoned Matcha fans and also anyone who has wanted to try the famous Matcha flavour.
Madam Hong Lady Boba Bubble Tea - Taro

Taro: The purple one. Taro is a purple root vegetable. If you haven’t tried it before, it tastes slightly similar to a potato with a nutty flavour, but strangely it’s more sweet than savoury. It has all of the classic Taro notes and with hints of nuts and creamy vanilla, it’s incredibly moreish and a personal favourite of mine. Highly recommended for anyone who wants try a drink that’s a little bit different.
Madam Hong Lady Boba Bubble Tea - Brown Sugar

Brown Sugar: The showstopper! A Black Tea blend with milk - it has all of the great features of the Classic Milk Tea, but with the added decadence of caramelised brown sugar infusion which brings a toasty warming flavour to the tea. Brown Sugar Milk Tea is a Tofu Cute staff favourite which we highly recommend.
All four flavours are available on our website now! Thanks for reading and be sure to react to this post to get some free Tomodachi points!
