A whole year ago, Tofu Cute decided to change the world* with the first ever Tofu Cute Awards in 2019. We offered up categories for you to vote in surrounding all of your favourite things in ‘kawaii’ culture, as well as other things adjacent to our interests, like ‘cutest internet cat’ and ‘best mascot character of the year’. We reminisced about the year that had passed. It was a great time.

Things are obviously a bit different in 2020 when reflecting on the year as a whole. But we’re still committed to having some silly fun, despite it being a bit of a downer year. We hope you’ll enjoy voting for your favourite stuff in our quirky categories, so that we can give the results and have a jolly good laugh about them in January.

Below are the categories for voting in The Tofu Cute Awards this year, with set nominees for some and open voting for others. Nominations for products were determined based on the most popular items on our online shop and what came out in the year.
