Team Tofu Laska shares her current favourite cute plush~
Team Tofu Laska here!

I have many roles here at Tofu Cute but one of my most important roles is choosing which AMUSE plush to stock. I along with Zanni look through pages of the cutest, fuzziest, sometimes oddest plush and decide which ones to add to the Tofu Cute family. As you may have seen from our Tofu Cute TV video ‘Huge Kawaii Collections’ I also love to collect plush, so it's super exciting getting spoilers of what I’ll be buying later on in the year!

When looking for plush I really like unique, sometimes odd-looking plush, which is why I think I was drawn to the FLAN series. I love that they are super colourful and the length makes them perfect for hugging, although my collection has recently been stolen by my cat Jiji. I also really like natural coloured plush that looks slightly realistic, I have a shelf in the Tofu office dedicated to these plush that includes lots of animals such as beavers, pugs, capybara and walrus! We get new plush every couple of months so I thought I’d write this blog to show you what my current favourites are;
Muku Muku Mukkun Shopping Small Plush

There is no denying that chubby animals are cute and the chubbiest animals at Tofu Cute currently are Muku Muku Mukkun Shopping Small Plush. What draws me to this series mostly is Chuck the woodchuck – I love everything about him; he’s chunky, he has tiny little ears and he looks like he had to try reeeaally hard to get that bag on. I love this plush so much I took him on a trip to the mountains recently which you can see on Instagram. As a collection this series looks super cute together, I like the variety of colours and there really isn’t anything else like them.
Hige Manju Cat Fortune Daruma Small Plush

When I went to Japan a few years ago I bought a Daruma doll, they are seen as a symbol of perseverance and good luck. They usually have no eyes so you paint on the right eye and make a wish, once that wish comes true you paint on the left eye and then dispose of it at a shine where it will be ceremonially burned. When I saw the Hige Manju Cat Fortune Daruma Small Plush I instantly fell in love with them, the plush is instantly recognizable as a daruma doll except they have cute Hige Manju faces, ears and tales and come in a variety of cute colours, my favourite is always the black cat as his expression is so cute and grumpy.. Hige Manju is one of my favourite Amuse characters and were voted best character this year in the Amuse general election.
AMUSE Luna Haruna x Alpacasso Minami Small Plush

Some of you may have heard of Luna Haruna, she is a Japanese singer and is known widely for the anime soundtracks she has worked on, titles include; Sword Art Online, Fate/Zero and Monogatari. For ten years she has had an alpacasso companion named Minamin so last year she collaborated with Amuse and bought out the AMUSE Luna Haruna x Alpacasso Minami Small Plush series. We have always stocked Alpacasso plush here at Tofu Cute but this has to be one of the cutest series, I love the combination of pastel colours and as someone who would only eat pizza and chips as a child I appreciate the little bag of fries that some of them carry. My favourite has to be the lavender one, this is one of my favourite colours and this alpacasso has the sweetest smile and cute pompoms.

For those of you who are new to collecting Amuse plush we usually stock new plush every 2-4 months. Quite often once we have sold out of a series we don’t restock them as they get discontinued to make way for new series, if there is a character you like for example Mameshiba, Loppy or Sloth we are quite likely to stock this character again however each series has some something unique and different to the last for example they may carry accessories, have different colours or have different designs on their neckerchiefs.
