Christmas Gift Guide: The Cutest Fruit Themed Gifts!
Christmas Gift Guide: The Cutest Fruit Themed Gifts!

It's the holiday season. You're ready to get gifts for all of your closest friends and family, but suddenly there's some new people in your life, and you're not sure what to get them.

Here's a simple question you can ask to immediately give you access to a whole world of gifting opportunities:

'What's your favourite fruit?'

People love fruits, right? I would say it'd be pretty difficult to dislike all fruits - they're mostly delicious, full of vitamins and fibre, and they're make a great snack or treat. Even those who might happen to hate the taste of all fruits probably have a favourite based on their colour or aesthetic or scent. Once you've found out what someone's favourite fruit is, you're in luck: our online shop carries all kinds of fruit themed snacks and more!

So, as we speed into the holiday season, now's the perfect time to think about what fruit themed gifts you could totally get to ASTONISH everyone with your gift giving wisdom.
Melon
If the person you're gifting has an affection for melons, they'll probably find a lot of joy in our melon-flavoured snacks. Melon Puccho is a classic sweet which if you didn't know already, is made of soft, chewy base with small pieces of more traditional 'gummy' candy embedded within it, which punctuate the flavour experience with a juicy melon taste.

If you're looking for something slightly more traditional to give, perhaps you should consider Melon Mochi. These delicious packs contain 3 'mochi', which are formed using the traditional method out of rice to create a delicious and extremely chewy treat. If you know someone who has never tried mochi, now might be the time to get them on board, especially if they love melon flavours!

You may have also heard or even experienced the wonder of 'melonpan' in your time - a Japanese sweet bread that is inspired by melons and is typically shaped like them. For something unusual, you could even go ahead and gift someone a plush version of a melonpan, or a cute miniature biscuit version!
Strawberry
Strawberries are an absolutely classic fruit - small, sweet, red and full of high levels of antioxidants and Vitamin C. Strawberries appear often as a flavour in Japanese sweets - Strawberry Pocky and Strawberry Hello Panda are always among our most popular products.

Strawberry also pairs well with other flavours, as shown by the Strawberry & Apple Hi-Chew. As well as these classic strawberry snacks, I can also highly recommend the Strawberry Rich Meiji Cookies, which are a lot like Oreos with a Strawberry twist in the centre.

But that's not all! We also have some excellent strawberry themed things that aren't edible. In particular, if you're looking for something a little bit more odd, why not get your strawberry loving friend a Jumbo Strawberry Squishy? These cute little squishy charms look just like an enlarged strawberry - but they're squishy! They make for excellent stress relief, or a cute and fun way to make your keys more exciting!

There's also a selection of pencil cases that feature strawberries if that's your sort of thing, including this one that looks like carton of strawberry milk, and this one that has a pencil sharpener hidden in the lid! How neat!
Grape
Grape flavoured snacks don't seem that common in the UK. But in the world of Japanese snacks, it seems as though having a grape flavour is almost a necessary requirement. Grape flavoured snacks are bold by nature, because I think it takes a lot of care and skill to get it right as a flavour.

One of the best grape flavoured snacks available is Sakeru Gummy, forged by the mighty snack masters at UHA. This delightful treat condenses all the best parts about grape flavoured candy into one delicious package, available in one long (loooooooooooong) peelable strip, or a packet of smaller individually sealed strips, depending on your preference.

For other honourable mentions in grape snacks, it would be foolish to not mention Hi-Chew-Like-Chocoball, a snack which attempts to unify the texture of the classic snack chocoball with the grape flavour of Hi-Chew. What results is a delicious grape flavoured chocolate treat that is definitely worth tasting for the novelty alone, but if you're a grape fan, it's a true delight.
Citrus
You might think that having 'citrus' as its whole own category is unhelpful, but I've spoken with Quentin The Sloth, the editor-in-chief of the Tofu Cute Blog, and he says that it's totally okay. So if you know someone who likes the tangy taste of citrus fruits, you're in luck, because we've got some snacks for them.

First of all, you can get Lemon flavoured Shigekix for a candy with an ultra-sour zesty lemon flavour - this classic snack is a mainstay of our regular items, and with good reason. This classic snack has been testing the limits of people's tastebuds for many years, and the lemon flavour of shigekix is no exception - it's really sour, and each chewy gummy droplet will deliver you a swift punch of lemon-y flavour. It's well worth a try.

If you're looking for something a bit more refreshing, then perhaps the Yuzu Citrus flavour of the Japanese soda brand Ramune might be worth a try. This fizzy and fruity drink comes in the classic 'marble sealed' Ramune bottle that you have to pop to open, which makes the experience of drinking it a lot more rewarding. The taste is light, sweet and slightly bitter - an excellent citrus taste!

Speaking of excellent citrus tastes, you can also get the experience of Yuzu Citrus with our Yuzu Citrus 'Sunny Side Up' Gudetama Chocolate by the experts at Creighton's. This delicious chocolate bar blends citrus Yuzu flavour with a smooth dark chocolate, and it all comes wrapped up in an adorable Gudetama packaging. We think Gudetama would be proud of this fantastic snack!
Mixed Fruits
If the person you're getting a gift for is a lot less specific in their love of fruits, perhaps you could consider getting them something that is more generically fruity, like these adorable yet delicious kogumi 'Rilakkuma & Koguma' gummies. These packs of cute Rilakkuma themed gummy candies contain fruit gummies of a wide variety of fruit flavours, including but not limited to: white grape, lemon, apple and pear, brought together in a range of beautiful autumnal colours.

As another snack recommendation, Sakuma Drops are one of the most easy to recommend fruit-flavoured snacks on our online shop. If you've got tastebuds that work (genuinely sorry if you don't) you'll have a great time with these long-lasting hard candies that come in a variety of fruit flavours flavours such as strawberry, grape and lemon - with a bonus mint flavour, too!

If you're buying for someone who likes the idea of fruits but doesn't want to eat anything, then perhaps they'll enjoy these Fruit & Veg seal stickers, which are great for decorating calendars, notebooks and letters and adding some fruity charm.

Along the same theme of stationery, you could also get one of these awesome Pink Fruit Eraser sets, which give you all of the fruits (maybe not literally all of them) in one cute jar of erasers, which will help you correct your mistakes and appreciate the joy of fruits at the same time.
That's all for our list of fantastic fruit recommendations, but that's certainly not all of the fruit things we have one our online shop - feel free to explore all the different sections of our website or use the search function to find the ideal gift - there's plenty of peach flavoured things that I didn't mention, for example!

If you liked what you've read, please consider checking out some of the items below, and stay following our social media for the latest news in our cute products - we'll also be doing more gift guides soon!
