Whatever you think of its appearance, you can rest assured that in its tummy, your coins are safe from lurking fingers. This incredibly unique gadget was designed by Japanese artist Eiichi Takada and while at first its lifelike monkey-ish face may alarm you, once you've become accustomed to it, it will become irresistible - as it has to thousands of savers in Japan. To activate the munching motion, just wave the coin in front of Face Bank's face - there are motion sensors built cleverly into its eyes. When it begins to chew rhythmically, place a coin into its mouth and watch it devour your loose change. Don't try to feed Face Bank Pocky or any other tasty treat because it should only eat coins - anything else will make it ill. There is a hatch at the bottom that reveals the small coin storage space, so you can easily remove your savings.
